Ciracas Urban Village Office is Now Equipped with Reading Park

Ciracas Urban Village Office, East Jakarta, is now equipped with community reading park.

We also provide gazebo that equipped with books

Ciracas Urban Village Head, Rikia Marwan Salahudin mentioned, this reading park provided various facilities to make people feel comfort, especially when waiting for population administration process.

"We also provide gazebo that is equipped with books thus people, especially young people, can spend their time to read," he explained, Tuesday (1/26).

This gazebo is built with Betawi-style with size 3x5 square meters which used as mini library. It is located in the corner of the park as wide as 400 square meters. There are various ornamental plants on the eastern side of the main building of urban village office.

Moreover, this park also provided fish farming pond called Kolam Gizi, therapeutic fish pond, and bird cage. All the paving blocks or concrete blocks also painted in colors, including in bicycle parking area, which also equipped with bicycle parking symbol.

"We deploy 10 PPSU personnel every day since early December to build this park. Now, its progress has reached 90 percent. We estimate it to finish in the next two weeks," he informed.

Although the construction has not been completed yet, but local residents can use this park by implementing health protocols, such as wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining safe distance with the others.

"We have provided portable sinks and hand soap. Visitor's body temperature will be checked before entering the area," he explained.

Anticipating COVID-19 transmission, his side limited only 5-10 people that can access park or gazebo.

"PPSU and Satpol PP will be on standby routinely in park and reprimand any visitor who neglects health protocols," he asserted.
